Kazakhstan is about to receive new facilities in the engineering, chemical and metallurgical industries with an investment of 695 million dollars, Kazakhstan's regional executive authority told LS Kazakhstan.

One of the important projects is the construction of a $659 million steel production plant, which is expected to employ 600 people.

The production capacity of the new steel plant will reach 650 tonnes to 1,000 tonnes of steel billets per year.
In addition, a plant for the production of hot briquetted iron is planned to be commissioned. The opening cost of the plant is estimated at $2.07 billion. The capacity will be 2-2.5 million tonnes per year.

The completion date of these projects, in which enterprises from Kazakhstan and Russia are interested, is set for 2026.

A localisation centre for the production of auto parts is planned to be opened in the Kostanai industrial zone on an area of 9.9 hectares. The cost of this project is estimated at $ 29.3 million, and the number of jobs can reach 800. The production capacity will be 60 thousand sets per year.
